Fanciful Fluttersilk

I made Fluttersilk, as with all my Pokedolls, out of felt as it is cheap and easy to work with. She's stuffed with fiber fill and is outlined in black yarn held in place with hot glue. Her wings are a poster board skeletal structure covered in felt and the lines are black pipe cleaners. The base or her antennai are black pipe cleaners wraped over several times with black thread glazed over with tacky glue to add additional strength.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The "personality" descriptions are a part of the creative process and are not to be taken as a literal belief that the Pokedoll is alive and sentient. They are, in a sense, "made up" and any experiences conveyed in the description really exist or did happen but through me. I thought it would be a fun exercise in creative writting to assign the Pokedoll different life experience and situations as though they had lived it instead of or with me.

This is Fluttersilk my alternative-colored Butterfree (it's not truly, officially, "shiny", so it's called alternative-colored or some crap). Anyway, Fluttersilk is easily the "star" of my collection, i.e., she receives the most praise from people seeing her for the first time. She has BARELY been touched or moved since I first hung her on the ceiling back in '01 (you can kinda tell by the thin veil of dust that the flash so magnanimously picked up in the shot) because she's kind of a pain-in-the-ass to get back up.

Fluttersilk: The Lovelorn Pokemon. Famous for her past hobby of making her own Gundam Wing character scenarios and how f'd up they would be in real life; It would always have us on the ground laughing and generally in stitches (no pun intended). Her favourite character is Heero due to his awkwardness at fitting into real-life situations, so she'd often base her scenarios almost exclusively off of him: Fluttersilk refers to him as a "destructive little insect" who seems happiest blowing stuff-up and becomes out-of-place when not doing so.

Unfortunately, Fluttersilk has become more pensive and sullen over the years. The transitioning into adult-hood and being left behind has kind of taken it's toll on her. She still laughs at Fosskull's jokes and gets into it with Sudsy over his anal-retentiveness but her overall cheerful spirit has died down quite a bit. She's taken on this "humans-are-evil" sort of thing and lashes out constantly at their follies (let's just say, she's a huge supporter of Knives from "Trigun"). This constantly puts her at odds with Reelo who is a big humanitarian and supports humanity. . . I think she just needs to get a new lease on life to get her out of this slump.
